New Zealand is renowned for offering quality adventure caving and blackwater rafting trips. Debatably this is one of the largest industry's in the adventure tourism sector and there is a strong demand for suitably qualified Caving guides. Surprisingly few Polytechnic outdoor education and adventure guiding courses offer a caving component.
The NZCS provides contract instructors, qualification based programmes and caving equipment for tertiary programmes.
